The four stages of a Bavunio lesson

Every Bavunio lesson moves through Learn, Reinforce, Challenge and Mastery, and the next lesson opens only after all four.

A Bavunio lesson takes a few minutes and moves through four stages. The next lesson opens when you finish all four.

Lesson structure

Each curriculum is divided into sections, sections into units, and units into lessons. You can see the eleven curricula on the curricula page, and read how they are organized in Eleven curricula, one app.

The four stages

The four stages in order, each a path disc: Learn with a book, Reinforce with circular arrows, Challenge with a double chevron, and Mastery with a gold crown

  1. Learn. The new ideas appear in a few short screens.
  2. Reinforce. You answer, order and match, so what you just met stays in memory.
  3. Challenge. Harder questions ask you to use what you learned.
  4. Mastery. You prove it without help, and the lesson is complete.

Exercise types

Each exercise is chosen to fit what is being taught: choosing an answer, matching pairs, putting events in order, building a sentence from given words, and typing.

Five exercise types with their icons: choose an answer, match pairs, put in order, build from a word bank, and type the answer

Mistakes

A wrong answer gets a short note that says what to do next. You keep going, and the questions you missed come back before the lesson ends.

After the lesson

Finished lessons return for review before you forget them, and you can open any finished lesson again from the path. Gold marks full mastery; we explain why gold appears only for rewards in Bavunio’s colors.
