Eleven curricula, one app
Qur'an, Tajweed, Seerah, Aqeedah and seven more curricula, each with its own path and taught in Arabic or English.
Bavunio teaches eleven curricula in one app: Qur’an, Tajweed and recitation, Seerah, Aqeedah, Fiqh of worship, Hadith, Adhkar and du’a, Akhlaq and adab, Arabic for the Qur’an, Islamic history, and Qira’at. You can read a short description of each on the curricula page.
Paths and progress
You can follow one curriculum or several. Each keeps its own path and its own progress, and you can switch between them at any time. Every lesson in every curriculum follows the same four stages.
Teaching language
A curriculum is taught in Arabic or in English, whatever language the app itself uses, so you can use the app in English and study a curriculum taught in Arabic.
Sources
We are rewriting the lessons so that each one draws only on books we approve for its subject, and quotes Qur’an text, hadith and the events of the Seerah directly from them.
Curricula still being written
A curriculum whose lessons are still being written says so in the app, and Bavunio creates no placeholder progress for it.
Recitation
For the Qur’an and Tajweed curricula we are building a recitation check: you recite from memory, and Bavunio reviews the words, the harakat and the tajweed rules.
Each curriculum also has its own icon; we wrote about how they were made in How we drew Bavunio’s icons. Every lesson is free, and Bavunio Zad will add extra practice tools.
